Fall Blog

Hello, Maggie the Cavachon here with a fall blog. The other day, Daddy, Casey and me were raking leaves in the yard. Well, Daddy and Casey were; I was chasing them down the sidewalk! The leaves are so much fun to chase. They fly up in the air, then just when you think they’ll land, a gust of wind carries them back up! I love to pounce on the leaves and rip them to shreds! Then, I hid in the bushes until Daddy and Casey noticed I wasn’t chasing leaves anymore…. But, they soon spotted me hiding behind a shrub.

Thursday was Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I was confined to my crate(cage) for most of the feast. (However, Casey snuck me a hunk of turkey when nobody was watching!) But of course, the holiday isn’t all about the food. I have a lot of things to be thankful for. Such as, milk bones, long walks, Frisbee, fetch,And FOOD! After all of the leaf chasing and turkey eating, I flopped down in Casey’s beanbag and took a nap.

Doggie Fun Fact #24: Did you know that the Doberman Pincher was created by a man named Mr. Doberman? Mr. Doberman was a tax collector and sometimes had to travel through some sketchy parts of town with a lot of money. He wanted a dog that would keep him safe, so he bred the Doberman.

2 wet Saturdays

I spent last Saturday and this in the rain Last Saturday, I was at the Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes with Casey. Casey, me and Daddy were there to support our two diabetic friends, Abby T. and Catherine. I wore my pink sweater with two pieces of duct tape on it. On one piece, it said Abby, and on the other, it said Catherine. We walked three miles in the rain around the campus of Wake Forest. I was glad Casey and I were there to support Catherine and Abby .

This past Saturday was, as you know, Halloween. I had an amazing costumem! Casey and I dressed as convicts. We both wore black and white striped sweaters.

Trick or Treating was (as usual) a ton of fun! We got candy, saw friends and showed off our awesome costumes. It started pouring rain when we were all the way across the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we left our cell phone at home, so we were stuck! We trudged home in the rain, and when we arrived home, we were soaked! I had so much fun the past 2 Saturdays, though I got a little wet!

Maggie the Cavachon Doggie Fun Fact #23: Most people think that us dogs can only see in black and white, but we can see in muted color.
