Graduation

I am so excited!

I’m now a graduate of doodling 101! Doodling 101 is a dog class at our local dog school. In it we learned a lot of rally. Rally is a mix of obedience and agility.

I was part of a team called the red team. We had our own special routine, matching outfits, and even music. My favorite trick in doodling was the spins. A spin is when I simply spin around and around and around.

Our instructor let us bring our agility hoop and show everyone what I can do! I am working hard on my agility. My favorite agility items are the hoop and the tunnel. I also like the weave polls, though they are a bit more challenging.

I was just one of the many stars at my graduation. Here is a picture of me after graduation when I was just chillin’.

I hope I’ll be able to take another class soon. I always have fun at dog school.

Fun Fact #3=Did you know that my half-cousin, the English Toy Spaniel, and my Dad’s breed, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel once started out as one breed? Yep, that’s why they look so much alike!

While mom's away......the Cavachon will play!

Mommy’s spending the weekend in Florida! Daddy,Casey, and I have been having soooo much fun! Last night, I slept with Daddy in the big bed. I laid down on the huge puffy bed. It was so soft that I Started sinking into it! Then, I slowly started drifting off. When I woke up the time telling machine said 1:28 AM. “WOW!” I thought ! It usually said 6:17AM when I woke up and did my morning stretches.

Quickly I realized why. Either the time telling machine was broken or it was in the middle of the night! Judging by the darkness and the fact that Casey wasn’t up, I supposed that it was the middle of the night. I heard something. I looked up and I realized what had waken me up. Daddy was snoring!!!

“Yawn Sleeping with Casey sure is…. Well, more silent and sleepable.” I mumbled to myself.

To solve my problem, I simply got up I staggered to the basement/playroom. I climbed up the couch and covered myself with my special blanket. That was the way Casey found me in the morning.

I took a little nap this afternoon because of the sleep- loss last night .

I’ll write back tomorrow about some of the other things I’ve been doing with Casey and Daddy this afternoon.

Love,
Maggie
P.S.
Like my new jacket?

Dog Fact # 2
Did you know that my Mom’s breed (Bichon Frise) was originally bred as a performer?
Casey says that’s why I love to show off so much!

Lots of Snow

I slept with Casey last night. She kept waking up and telling me that she was sooo excited!

In the morning, I saw why.
Crunch, crunch, crunch. We dragged ourselves through the endless white. This morning was the first in a LOOOOOOONG time that I really wished I was toilet trained. Casey walked me all the way to Chelsea’s house. She talked to Holly for a while (they were both out of school), while I was catching up with Chelsea. Then we ran home pretty quickly, I didn’t know why.

On the way home, we even ran into some of my best friends, Chloe and Frosty. Casey and their owner seemed to be in quite a hurry to get inside, but my friends and I were perfectly happy where we were.

As we got home, Casey helped me pull the ice-cubes off my ankles. Then Holly’s car pulled up and they took her away! :(

I napped in my bed and waited for her to come home. It actually wasn’t too much time before she arrived. When she did, I went into the backyard with her. We took sled rides, and I learned a trick called “catch”, in which I catch snowballs in my mouth that Casey tosses. Casey and I trudged back toward our house.

Ahhhh, I thought as I drifted off to sleep on Casey’s lap. The crackling fire and the hum of the television seemed to complete the scene. Casey was brushing me and watching the television.
I had such a fun day! I hope Casey will get out of school again due to snow.

Love,
Maggie

P.S.
I’ve decided to start adding a dog related fun fact to the end of every blog.

Fun Fact# 1 - Do you know why dogs pant? It’s because we barely sweat. We can only sweat through our paw pads, on the bottom of our feet!

So if it is the middle of the summer and your dog walks into the kitchen and you think he’s been playing in puddles, he’s just hot and sweaty!

I Love the Spa !!!

Today, Casey and Holly received their copies of Dogs For Kids magazine. This month, it featered a lady who gives pet massages. Boy, do I love this magazine! Because Casey and Holly decided to try out their massaging skills on me! Me, Maggie K. Quam! I am the luckiest dog in the world!

Poor Chelsea had to stay at her house. Holly and Casey said that “her little puppy muscles wouldn’t like the massage”.

We went into the spare bathroom and Casey readied luke warm water. Holly asked me to lay down on a towel. I wasn’t even sure what a massasge was, but I trusted them and layed down. Casey dipped a cloth into the water. Holly then took off my collar. Was a massage anyting like bath time? I don’t like bath time!

They turned off the light and lit a candle. Then they laid the cloth over me and rubbed. It felt great ! They did this all over my body. I was soo relaxed! By the time we were done, I felt like I could do anything! I was damp when I walked out of the bathroom, but boy, was I refreshed!

I'll write back soon,Maggie :)
