My Christmas

Hey, Maggie the Cavachon here. I had the best Christmas ever! As for presents, I received mostly toys. Casey also gave me these chewy sticks called greenies. I love them and can finish one in ten minutes flat. Casey likes them because they clean my teeth and freshen my breath. However, my favorite part of Christmas morning was the wrapping paper. Casey even let me open a few of her gifts as well as mine. After ripping off the paper, I would play with it, wriggle in under it, and roll around in it.

I hope your Christmas was just as merry as mine!

My Winter Wonderland

Hey, it's Maggie the Cavachon. On Friday, it started to snow! It snowed six inches.
That was the most snow I'd ever seen in my life! I sank right into the snow.

Casey and I went sledding. Usually, whenever we get snow; a person can only walk
in it once or twice before it melts. But this time, Casey could sled over an area
again and again before in got mushy.

The snow lasted for days and days. On Saturday, I went to Peyton's house to play with her. We chased each other in the snow, and caught snowballs in our mouths. Casey would make a snowball and throw it up in the air. Sometimes, it would roll down a hill. Then, Peyton and I would chase the ball and pick it up in our mouths. But when it flew up in the air and landed in the snow, it would disapear and Peyton and I would have to go looking for it.

Sunday, the snow sort of hardened on the top layer. Whenever Casey took me outside, my toenails skidded on the ice and I went slipping and sliding.

I had so much fun in the snow! I'll be sure to do a Christmas blog.

Fall Blog

Hello, Maggie the Cavachon here with a fall blog. The other day, Daddy, Casey and me were raking leaves in the yard. Well, Daddy and Casey were; I was chasing them down the sidewalk! The leaves are so much fun to chase. They fly up in the air, then just when you think they’ll land, a gust of wind carries them back up! I love to pounce on the leaves and rip them to shreds! Then, I hid in the bushes until Daddy and Casey noticed I wasn’t chasing leaves anymore…. But, they soon spotted me hiding behind a shrub.

Thursday was Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I was confined to my crate(cage) for most of the feast. (However, Casey snuck me a hunk of turkey when nobody was watching!) But of course, the holiday isn’t all about the food. I have a lot of things to be thankful for. Such as, milk bones, long walks, Frisbee, fetch,And FOOD! After all of the leaf chasing and turkey eating, I flopped down in Casey’s beanbag and took a nap.

2 wet Saturdays

I spent last Saturday and this in the rain Last Saturday, I was at the Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes with Casey. Casey, me and Daddy were there to support our two diabetic friends, Abby T. and Catherine. I wore my pink sweater with two pieces of duct tape on it. On one piece, it said Abby, and on the other, it said Catherine. We walked three miles in the rain around the campus of Wake Forest. I was glad Casey and I were there to support Catherine and Abby .

This past Saturday was, as you know, Halloween. I had an amazing costumem! Casey and I dressed as convicts. We both wore black and white striped sweaters.

Trick or Treating was (as usual) a ton of fun! We got candy, saw friends and showed off our awesome costumes. It started pouring rain when we were all the way across the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we left our cell phone at home, so we were stuck! We trudged home in the rain, and when we arrived home, we were soaked! I had so much fun the past 2 Saturdays, though I got a little wet!

Maggie the Cavachon Doggie Fun Fact #23: Most people think that us dogs can only see in black and white, but we can see in muted color.

Outdoor Adventure

Hey everyone, Maggie the outdoorsperson here. Casey, Mommy, Daddy, and two of Casey's friends took me camping over the weekend. We went on a cool hike, one mile up a mountain.

We went up and down hills and valleys and found a beautiful overlook. We saw cities from all over from the top of the mountain. When we saw the ranger station (the place where the hike started) we realized just how far we had hiked.

At the top of the mountain, some girls saw how cute I looked in my sweater and started to take my picture. (I was wearing a pink sweater because it was a little chilly.)

Back at the campsite, we started a fire and roasted hotdogs. (I did have a little hotdog
myself :) )

When it got cold at night, we packed up and drove home.

I had a great time camping!!

Maggie the Cavachon

Doggie Fun Fact # : 22

When Eskimos sleep in an igloo, sometimes it gets cold. When it gets really cold, they rate their nights by dogs. For example, on a three dog night (the coldest night of all) you would bring three of your sled dogs into your igloo to keep you warm .

Grand Champions!

Grand Champion! Yes, me, Maggie the Cavachon, is writing as a Grand Champion. On Saturday, Casey and I competed in a dog show at the fair. The Dixie Classic Fair Youth Dog Show to be exact. There were all sorts of dogs there. From a 41 inch tall

Great Pyrenees to a 4 inch tall Chihuahua. There were also many different events. One of my favorites (though I didn't compete in it) was "longest ears". A Basset Hound won with 8 inch long ears! I was surprised he didn't trip over them!

An event that Casey and I completed in (and won third place) was "Best Costume". We dressed as jailbirds. Remember one of my first blogs, "Biljacs Most Wanted"? I wore the same costume that I wore in that blog. The black and white striped T-shirt. Only this time, Casey wore a matching outfit.

We also competed in two other events. One was "Best Trick" and the other was "Obedience". In "Obedience", we completed a series of commands.

We did slow, about turn, right turn, and more. In "Best Trick", we did a series of agility tricks. I jumped through a hoop, ran through weave poles, and ran through a tunnel.

We won first place in both "Best Trick" and "Obedience". Because we got first in an event, we moved on to the "Best in Show" competition. We stood for an examination, then the judges thought about it and announced that we were the winners! I can't believe we won!

Maggie the Cavachon Doggie Fun Fact #21:

In a dog show, breeds compete in classes, then the winners will compete for Best in Show .

Casey's Turning 11!

Hey guys, Maggie the Cavachon here. A couple of days ago, Casey had some girls over for her 11th birthday party. They went and had Chinese food, then came back to our house. All of the girls watched a movie and I went from girl to girl getting praised. Then if any one girl was really good at tickling my belly, I would lay down in her lap. I had so much fun. Then when Casey
opened presents from her family, I played in the wrapping paper! It was like a little paper castle made just for me!

I can't wait for Casey to "turn 11'' again!

My Crazy Week

Hey internet - ites, Maggie the Cavachon here .

Sorry I haven't blogged i n a while , I've been so busy lately ! Casey and her friend , Emma have been doing a lot of training with me and Emma's dog , Abby .

Casey is helping Emma train Abby , and Emma is helping Casey train me. Abby and
I think it would be fun to train our humans, though! ! !

We practice agility, obedience , and rally. Casey and I are training for a dog show at our city's fair. We can't wait! Not only are Casey and I
entering a dog show at our local fair, Caseey is also entering some drawings and photos. Some of them are even of me. I've been posing for sketches and photos so much, I feel like a movie star !

Today, Casey took me to Peyton's house. We wrestled, played and just sat by each other. I chase Peyton all over her living room. Then, she turned around and started chasing me! Then we did tricks with each other. Peyton has these delicious treats in her house. I think they are called Pup-or-oni or something like that.

I had such a fun week - I'll blog more soon.

Bus is Back!

Hello, People! Over the summer, I didn't blog as much, but now that school's in session,
I'll be more up-to-date on my activities.

Casey's back to school along with Holly,Emma, Sydney,Abbey and all of her other friends!
I really miss her during the day... And do you know what evil creature takes her away in the morning? The "bus". Casey taught me to run to the door whenever she says "bus".
Then, in the afternoon, a kind, caring "bus" comes back to the neighborhood and returns her.

Speaking of words I learned over the summer, Mommy got a new birdfeeder and these squirels keep eating the seeds. So now whenever Casey says "squirel", I run and throw my weight against the window and bark really, really loud! Casey says it's cute, but I'm really being feroious!

Talk to you later-

FETCH !!!!!

Hello Everyone! Maggie the Cavachon here!

As you know, Lauren is staying with me this week (Last Blog) She is so much fun! Lauren always plays fetch with me. Casey taught me a trick before she left. All I have to do is pick up my favorite toy, find Lauren, drop it at her feet, and look at her with “The Puppydog Eyes” and she plays fetch with me.

I know it’s a little sneaky, but it works wonders!

Mystery Friends and Bake Sale

Hello everyone, it’s your favorite blogger on the web, Maggie the Cavachon!

This summer, Casey’s been having these two girls over a lot. They both have dog smells on them.

One, Syd, apparently has two dogs at home. One named LaMont(Mont Mont for short) and the other named…….MAGGIE! Maggie is a Golden Retriever.

Personally, I like the name better on a Cavachon than a Golden, but oh, well. It all works. I hope to meet Maggie and Mont Mont someday. They seem like loads of fun.

The other girl is Abbey. She also has a dog smell on her. This smell is of a dog named Peanut. Peanut is a mixed breed. She smells really nice. Once again, I think it would be cool if I met Peanut. According to Casey, Peanut, Mont Mont, and Maggie only live a few neighborhoods down from us. Maybe if I bark REALLY loud we could have a conversation….

On Sunday, Casey, me, and our friends Abby and Emma had a bake sale. All money earned by the bake sale went to the Forsyth Humane Society. This was our second bake sale. The one we had last year raised $100. This year, Casey and Emma wanted to raise even more. And they sure did! We made $200 in profits this year. Abby and I weren’t allowed to go to the shelter since we’re dogs, so Emma and Casey went to drop off the money. They got to play with the dogs and cats there. They even got to see a puppy get adopted! That was Casey’s favorite part.

Today Casey left for beach. I don’t know what “beach” is other than the fact

That Casey is going to it for a week and leaving me with a pet sitter. My pet sitter’s name is Lauren. She knows Casey from the pool and is going into college. Lauren came over Thursday so I could teach her my daily routine. She seems really nice and I’m looking forward to having her stay at my house for the week.

If you’re wondering how I’m blogging without Casey, I’m typing it with my nose. THIS BLOG HAS TAKEN ME 3 HOURS TO TYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also can’t post pictures without Casey’s help, so I’ll post pictures of the Bake Sale (etc.) when she gets back.

The "If you don't have a lot of time, come back later" blog

Hey, everyone; Maggie the two year old Cavachon here. Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while, but I’ve just been soooo busy. Thursday(The 16th ) was my second birthday and Casey left to visit cousins in Iowa. She got back on Monday and Sugar came to stay at my house on Wednesday(the21st).

My birthday was AWESOME!!!! It all started Wednesday(the 15th ) night when me, and my sisters Peyton and Missy had a party. I had so much fun!!!! Our other friend, Molly also came to the party. She weighs under 10 pounds!!

When I woke up on Thursday (the 16th) it was my birthday ! Casey gave me an extra large breakfast, and Abby and Emma came over for birthday brunch. We had eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

A while later, Sugar came over and we wrestled! I had so much fun! We ran around in circles chasing each other’s tails!

After Sugar left, Casey and I had some time together before she left for Iowa.(Whatever that is) I was really sad at first, but she talked to me every night on the phone. When she got home, I was really excited. She kept talking about my friend, Sugar, for some reason. Little did I know…..
***

On Wednesday(the 21st), Casey spent the whole day at water-park. I was so angry. Did she love water-park more than me?(Later I found out that water-park is actually a place. Ooops!) A couple of hours after Casey had been gone, Sugar showed up at my house to play. But strange things started to happen.. Sugar brought a box of food over-waaaaay too much for a snack. She also brought her bed- I thought mine was comfortable enough for Sugar to take a quick nap in! The last strange thing that happened was that Sugar’s owners left. They just dropped her off!!
Well, by the time Casey got back from water-park, I figured out that Sugar would be here for a while. When Sugar was smaller, I went easy on her in wrestling. Now that we’re the same size, she’s a good match for me.

I hate to say it, but I’m getting tired of blogging. I think I’ll go play with Sugar now.

Doggie Fun Fact # 14-

Bark in the Park

On Saturday night, me, Casey, and Daddy went to a baseball game together. Our local team, The Dash, has a special event called Bark in the Park.

At Bark in the Park, dogs came to the baseball game with their humans. We also met Holly and Chelsea at the game. There was a contest at the top of every inning, and I got third place in “Best Trick” by balancing two Milk-Bones on my nose.

Holly and Casey got chosen as judges for “Largest Dog” and this Great Dane named DiMaggio won. I think I could’ve taken a ride on him, me and Chelsea.

Casey and I also split a hotdog! I got mustard all over my nose. Casey and Holly seemed to think it was pretty funny.

A foul ball flew right over my head! If it was going slower, I would have caught it for sure!
In between contests and hotdogs, Chelsea and I got really interested in the game.

After Bark in the Park, I went home and fell into my bed. I was asleep moments later.I hope your Saturday night was as fun as mine!

My Weird Week

Hey guys! As you know, my weird week started out with Casey being at Summer Camp. I started out the week being really sad and feeling lonesome. Who would slice my fresh apples?Who would invite Abby, Sugar, and Chelsea to play with me? And who would stare at me with an annoyed look when I didn’t “come”?

But Daddy and Mommy actually did a good job handling my daily schedule. I even was out on a walk once and saw Peyton(my sister), I forgot about being sad for a while.

Casey got back on Thursday night and she let me sleep in her bed with her! I was so happy to see her, I stuck to her like glue. She told me all about Summer Camp. It surprisingly sounded fun. She even told me that while she was there, she read about a camp where us K9s can come along! I hope we can go next Summer!

Today was the 4th of July. I don’t really know what that means….. Except that the neighbors are setting off huge fire-balls that are like, as loud as a herd of elephants! They look like little glowing dots in the air, then they explode!!

Tonight while Casey was taking me out for my final potty break, some neighbors set off a huge fire ball! I ran as fast as my little six-inch legs could carry me- ’till I got to the end of my leash. But that didn’t stop me! Casey was stronger though, and managed to get me to do my business.

When we turned back to the house I didn’t budge. I wasn’t about to head back into the fireballs’ lair! Casey eventually scooped me up and carried me home. I ran down to the basement until the fireballs had gone away to bother whoever else turn for 4th of July it was.

Have an awesome Sunday! Maggie the Cavachon

Summer !!!

Hello fellow summer-celebrators! Bye bye Spring and hellllllllo, Summer!
Now that Casey's out of school, I'm getting walked, played with and made happy a lot more often. Here are some of the things I'm looking forward to:

Swimming,

Practicing Agility,

And
Sunbathing!

I'm also starting off leash training with Casey. Not just in the backyard as usual, but on our neighborhood walking trail like all the “mature” dogs (that’s what Casey calls them).

Casey isn’t the only one whose been training me. My human friends, Holly, Emma, and Maddie have been helping me. Also, my dog friend, Abby( who’s an off-leash expert) has been a “good example” for me. A big thanks to all who have helped with my training.

For those of you who are wondering, Sugar (last blog) is a neighborhood friend, she doesn’t live with me.

Happy Summer,
Maggie the Cavachon

My new friend Sugar

Guess what? I have a new friend! Her name is Sugar and she is a tiny puppy.

She is about as big as my head. But that won’t last for long! In about six months, I will be as big as Sugar’s snout.

That’s because she’s a Bullmastiff! It will be really funny to see how Sugar will go from five pounds to one hundred five pounds! I can’t wait till Sugar has gotten her shots and grows a little so we can play together!

And for those of you that have been waiting, I couldn’t get the big ball up the stairs….. However, I could get it over my homemade jump.

See?
Your curious friend,

FAKE OUT

Hello, maggie-the-cavachondon-dot-blogspot-dot-com followers! Sorry I haven't writen a blog lately.

I've been too busy enjoying my new hobby, "The Fake Out". Here's how to "play." I sit by a door and when Mommy, Daddy or Casey comes to take me out, I jump up and start teasing them. You know, I run toward them, and when they try to catch me, I jump back.

Here's a vidio of me and Casey playing "Fake Out:"

Oops! Must have been the wrong vidio! Oh, well. I'll try to get the right one up soon!

The Howling Golden Snake

Whew! Out of all that noise at last! Oh, yeah, before I get ahead of myself, let me tell you about THE THING.

Last night, it rained, and it rained HARD! Our hilly backyard had a stream flowing through it!

Holly, my human friend, slept over with Casey on Friday night. Since it was raining, we were trapped inside. So when we woke up on Saturday morning, the girls were looking for an adventure.

And they chose a noisy adventure. They chose to find Daddy’s old trumpet (I have no idea what a trumpet is….) in the attic. Holly and Casey took turns making The Howling Golden Snake moan and groan. It hurt my ears! Daddy was a better trainer of The Howling Golden Snake, but, it still screamed really loud.

Good! My hearing is starting to come back. Oh, man, they’re coming into this room, and the snakes with them!

Signing off,
Maggie the Cavacho…..

Creek Adventure and Spa Day

Monday was the best day EVER!!!!!!! Casey got to take me into the creek with my friend, Abby. I was so shaggy (and I had a grooming appointment on Tuesday) that Mommy let Casey take me swimming in Muddy Creek. ( A Creek Near our house) Abby, and her human Emma, went to the creek with us.

It felt so good to splash into the creek right after Abby instead of waiting up on the bank as I usually have to. The muddy water teemed with life such as water spiders, minnows, and birds. By the time we were done swimming, I felt like I couldn’t get any dirtier ! Mattes, thorns, mud, and water were all over my hair.

When I woke up on Tuesday all of the dirt had dried in to my fur. When I got out of my crate, Mommy Looked at me like I was well, dirty! Then Mommy brought me to the spa and I got a bath, my nails trimmed, and a great new haircut. Daddy, Casey, and Mommy really loved the way I smelled.

I loved my creek adventure and spa day. Check out these awesome before and after photos! I know you’ll love them!

X-Large Weekend !!!

My weekend has been HUGE! Friday, Casey was off school for Good Friday. She went to the mall and to a movie with friends, so I played with my new favorite toy. It’s called….(Sigh)….a volleyball. It’s soo much fun! I like to think of it as my prey and I must pounce on it and stop it from rolling.

Saturday we (Casey, Mommy, Daddy, and my human friend, Holly) took a hike in the mountains. We went to Hanging Rock State Park in NC.

When we visit HRSP we usually hike on the main trail, called Hanging Rock Trail. The trail ends at a rock that hangs over the side of th
e mountain. This time we decided to take a different hike.

Mommy chose one called Moore’s Wall Loop. (or something like that ) Unfortunately, it was a bit ( well, A LOT ) longer and steeper than we were told. Oh, well. It was still pretty because of all the streams, plants and wild life. And the view at the top was magical. I got really dirty so I had to have a bath that night .

Sunday was Easter! Since Casey, Mommy and Daddy were at church and a friend’s house for lunch, I was by myself for the first part of the day. But when Casey got home, she took me on a walk with Holly and Chelsea. So Sunday was more of a lay around day, but I needed the rest ‘cause of the hike I took Saturday.

Oh, no! Casey’s chasing me! She wants to brush my teeth ! Gotta ru…….

Dress Up

After a walk with my friend, Abby, I was so tired! So, while I was being bored, I raided Casey’s dress up box. I dressed up in so many funny things! I dressed up in old Halloween costumes, funny hats, and different pairs of silly shoes.

Me in Casey’s sombrero

Me in dress shoes

Me dressed like a movie star

I had so much fun. I will raid Casey’s dress up box again soon, and tell you about it.

Gotta nap,

Maggie

P.S. Don’t Forget to vote in my polls!

Doggie Fun Fact #4-
You’ve heard of the dog- breed groups right? (Sporting, Toy, Working ect.)
A little known group is The Miscellaneous Class. This group is made up of dogs that are official breeds, but haven’t been assigned in a normal group. Most breeds stay in this group 3-5 years before moving to a regular class. I hope the cavachon will be in that group one day!

Graduation

I am so excited!

I’m now a graduate of doodling 101! Doodling 101 is a dog class at our local dog school. In it we learned a lot of rally. Rally is a mix of obedience and agility.

I was part of a team called the red team. We had our own special routine, matching outfits, and even music. My favorite trick in doodling was the spins. A spin is when I simply spin around and around and around.

Our instructor let us bring our agility hoop and show everyone what I can do! I am working hard on my agility. My favorite agility items are the hoop and the tunnel. I also like the weave polls, though they are a bit more challenging.

I was just one of the many stars at my graduation. Here is a picture of me after graduation when I was just chillin’.

I hope I’ll be able to take another class soon. I always have fun at dog school.

Fun Fact #3=Did you know that my half-cousin, the English Toy Spaniel, and my Dad’s breed, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel once started out as one breed? Yep, that’s why they look so much alike!

While mom's away......the Cavachon will play!

Mommy’s spending the weekend in Florida! Daddy,Casey, and I have been having soooo much fun! Last night, I slept with Daddy in the big bed. I laid down on the huge puffy bed. It was so soft that I Started sinking into it! Then, I slowly started drifting off. When I woke up the time telling machine said 1:28 AM. “WOW!” I thought ! It usually said 6:17AM when I woke up and did my morning stretches.

Quickly I realized why. Either the time telling machine was broken or it was in the middle of the night! Judging by the darkness and the fact that Casey wasn’t up, I supposed that it was the middle of the night. I heard something. I looked up and I realized what had waken me up. Daddy was snoring!!!

“Yawn Sleeping with Casey sure is…. Well, more silent and sleepable.” I mumbled to myself.

To solve my problem, I simply got up I staggered to the basement/playroom. I climbed up the couch and covered myself with my special blanket. That was the way Casey found me in the morning.

I took a little nap this afternoon because of the sleep- loss last night .

I’ll write back tomorrow about some of the other things I’ve been doing with Casey and Daddy this afternoon.

Love,
Maggie
P.S.
Like my new jacket?

Dog Fact # 2
Did you know that my Mom’s breed (Bichon Frise) was originally bred as a performer?
Casey says that’s why I love to show off so much!

Lots of Snow

I slept with Casey last night. She kept waking up and telling me that she was sooo excited!

In the morning, I saw why.
Crunch, crunch, crunch. We dragged ourselves through the endless white. This morning was the first in a LOOOOOOONG time that I really wished I was toilet trained. Casey walked me all the way to Chelsea’s house. She talked to Holly for a while (they were both out of school), while I was catching up with Chelsea. Then we ran home pretty quickly, I didn’t know why.

On the way home, we even ran into some of my best friends, Chloe and Frosty. Casey and their owner seemed to be in quite a hurry to get inside, but my friends and I were perfectly happy where we were.

As we got home, Casey helped me pull the ice-cubes off my ankles. Then Holly’s car pulled up and they took her away! :(

I napped in my bed and waited for her to come home. It actually wasn’t too much time before she arrived. When she did, I went into the backyard with her. We took sled rides, and I learned a trick called “catch”, in which I catch snowballs in my mouth that Casey tosses. Casey and I trudged back toward our house.

Ahhhh, I thought as I drifted off to sleep on Casey’s lap. The crackling fire and the hum of the television seemed to complete the scene. Casey was brushing me and watching the television.
I had such a fun day! I hope Casey will get out of school again due to snow.

Love,
Maggie

P.S.
I’ve decided to start adding a dog related fun fact to the end of every blog.

Fun Fact# 1 - Do you know why dogs pant? It’s because we barely sweat. We can only sweat through our paw pads, on the bottom of our feet!

So if it is the middle of the summer and your dog walks into the kitchen and you think he’s been playing in puddles, he’s just hot and sweaty!

I Love the Spa !!!

Today, Casey and Holly received their copies of Dogs For Kids magazine. This month, it featered a lady who gives pet massages. Boy, do I love this magazine! Because Casey and Holly decided to try out their massaging skills on me! Me, Maggie K. Quam! I am the luckiest dog in the world!

Poor Chelsea had to stay at her house. Holly and Casey said that “her little puppy muscles wouldn’t like the massage”.

We went into the spare bathroom and Casey readied luke warm water. Holly asked me to lay down on a towel. I wasn’t even sure what a massasge was, but I trusted them and layed down. Casey dipped a cloth into the water. Holly then took off my collar. Was a massage anyting like bath time? I don’t like bath time!

They turned off the light and lit a candle. Then they laid the cloth over me and rubbed. It felt great ! They did this all over my body. I was soo relaxed! By the time we were done, I felt like I could do anything! I was damp when I walked out of the bathroom, but boy, was I refreshed!

I'll write back soon,Maggie :)

Sissy Spa Day & Valentine's Day

On Friday, Mommy and Peyton's Mommy brought us to the spa (Casey calls it Grooomers)! We took baths together, got our nails done together, and of course, got our hair cut together! Peyton's Mommy knows the hair-cutter (or Grooooomer) so Peyton and I got to stay in suites (or caaaaaages) side by side. My new haircut feels very good in the warm weather. And now I have petty red bows in my hair!

Here are pictures of me before and after my spa day.

Valentine's Day was a fun, gushy one! Casey and Daddy took Holly(Chelsea's Sister) and Madeline (human friend) to Circus. They were gone for a while, so Mommy and I had a lot of the morning together. In the afternoon, Daddy, Mommy, and Casey (and ME(: ) took a family bike ride. Well, sort of a bike ride. Mommy and Daddy biked, Casey roller skated , and I ran along beside them.

In the evening, I tried to get all of the biscuit-taste off the Valentine that Casey gave me that morning (I'd already eatn the biscuits that were stuck to the card). I ended up ripping it...
Oh, well. Casey said she'd put it in my scrapbook.

That Night, Casey went to Chelsea's house for a Valentine's Day sleepover and Daddy took Mommy out to dinner. The rest of the night, I SLEPT!!!!!! That's all I can remember, laying down on the couch and then...... I woke up and Casey was home!

I hope your Valentine's Day was just as cool!!

Chelsea and Roller Skating

I have had such a fun weekend!!!! On Friday, I took an extra-long walk with Casey, Abby, and Abby's human, Emma. I mostly slept the rest of the day. I walked right into my crate and just slept there. Daddy didn't even have to close the door to my crate!

Saturday was a little different..... Casey had a big swim meet in Greensboro, right next to where Daddy goes to work every day. So, I was alone most of the morning, I mostly slept (on the couch where I'm not supposed to be!).

In the afternoon, Mommy and Casey took me to Holly's house. Chelsea finally got her shots!!! That means she's allowed to meet other dogs! She was sooo small and cute! :)

Chelsea tried to keep up with me in Holly's backyard, once she even tripped over her own ear! I can't wait until she's big enough to play rough with me!

Sunday, Casey took me roller skating! We went to the path and Casey skated while I ran beside her. We went SOO fast! I sure hope we can do it again sometime.

SO TIRED I CAN BARELY FINISH.........Maggie

Snow, School, a Lost Friend, and Beanbags

Last night, on the car ride to my dog school, it started to snow!!! It was big, white and fluffy. It began a few minutes before we left. Casey took me outside and we tried to catch them in our mouths! I had never actually seen snow falling, though I had seen it on the ground after falling all night. I just loved the way that every time I opened my mouth, there was a snowflake waiting to drop in!

At puppy-school, we practiced “catch”! (Where we would try to catch treats in our mouths) It felt like I had practiced! At dog school, with Casey as my trainer, not many of my puppy friends came to class. I bet their cars didn't want to bring them because of all the snow.

Today, because of the snow, Casey didn't go to school! While we were in our playroom, Mommy pointed out the window and said “Look, a dog!” . Sure enough, there was a large, black dog outside in our backyard! Casey ran outside and looked at his tags. His name was Buddie and he lived near our house. We called his family and left a message on their answering machine. Casey hooked him to my cable on the driveway and gave him some water.

In about a half hour, Buddie's family called! They had been out looking for him and were very worried. I'm glad that he got home safley, I can't wait to see him during walks. I am sooo proud of Casey!

I'm addicted to one thing. (Well, if you don't count food, Casey, food, Abby, Chelsea, Peyton and food, Wait, did I say food? :) ) And that thing is Casey's beanbag. I just LOVE to climb on it and sink into the big puffy thing! Today I fell asleep on it! Here is a photo of me on it:

I'll write back soon,

Keeping Contained?

I just can't keep myself contained!!! Chelsea (last blog) was playing in her yard today with Holly. Casey and I went to Chelsea's house to get Holly, so that she could walk with us. I'm STILL not allowed to meet her!! Casey and Holly say that "it's for saftey and I can meet her as soon as she gets her shots." Well, I started to cry right on the spot, because I was only about ten feet from a new friend! Casey, Holly and I left then for our walk.
On the path,(our favorite walking trail) on the right side of the trail, we SAW A CAT!!!!!!!!!
Casey and Holly were being KIND to it!!!! It took us about fifteen minutes to walk about 50 meters because of that cat. All because Holly and Casey were trying to keep it safe, and I just wanted to give it a piece of mind!!!!
Well, that was my day today, I hope yours was more satisfying.....
