Hey, world! Maggie the Cavachon here. As you know, I love to take walks!
I usually walk on my neighborhood's walking trail. But recently, the city has added a section to my "turf." You see, there is a creek alongside the trail. A they built a bridge across the creek and another trail on the other side of the bridge. This trail is called the Greenway. It is called GREENway because it is supposed to help the people in my neighborhood "go green."
Yup, you guessed it. This path is pretty huge. It wraps itself all the way around my town! Casey and I even walked all the way to her school. Someday we are going to go even longer! Well... if you know me, you know that I would have gotten into some trouble on such a long trek... Okay! Okay! I admit! I ran around in the creek and got REALLY muddy. Gosh, there are you happy now? Oh, no!! Here comes Daddy, and he's got a towel! No, no!! Not a bath, Okay I gotta go, talk to you later,

February
Hello, world! Maggie the cavachon here. Sorry I haven’t blogged lately, but I’ve had such a busy February!
The first week of the month, Casey was out of school for a whole week due to snow. Daddy always says that up north, there is snow all winter. I really can’t wrap my little cavachon mind around that. Down here in North Carolina, snow is a rare and special treat! I loved having t
Later in the month came Valentine’s Day. Casey spent most of the day at the circus, and I spent it with my friend, Sadie. Sadie’s owners were in New York City at the Westminster Dog Show, so Sadie was sleeping over.
Daddy, Casey and I also participated in a Valentine’s Day fun run. I finished – and ran the whole way, three miles! Casey was really proud of me. I guess all that roller skating with Casey really paid off.
This month, I have also been taking dog-training classes with Casey. I have met many new friends, including a Golden Retriever named Jasper and a terrier, Louie. I am learning new tricks like “stand” and “leave it”.
I have had such a busy February, I will make more frequent posts in March.

Of course, I’ve been playing my favorite snow day game: “catch the snowball” today. Casey rolls up some snow into a ball
then she either tosses it to me or throws it up in the air, and I try to catch it.
By the end of the day, I was up to my neck in snow! Casey said that it looked as though my head was just floating around
on the ground, because my body wasn’t visible. I also played with my friends Chloe and Frosty in the snow. Frosty is a Bichon Frise,
so he’s white. It was really hard to see him in the snowdrifts!
I had so much fun playing in the

Science Fair
Hello, World! Maggie the Cavachon here!
Casey is doing a science fair project. She is testing to see if dogs are left or right "pawed." One of our dog trainers had told us that just like people, all dogs are right or left handed, or pawed I should say. To find this out, Casey asks dogs to "shake hands." Whichever paw dogs use to shake with is that dog's domanant paw. Casey has been using me and a lot of my friends to complete her experiment. I thought it was fun and was happy to help. (Make sure to check out my "Happy New Year" blog if you haven't already!)
I need to go now. I can see a tenis ball out of the corner of my eye and it's waiting to be chased!

Happy New Year
On Thursday Night, there was all kinds of excitement about New Years Eve – whatever that is. Casey and her friends were talking about staying up late and having celebrations for some reason. As you can see, I treated it like any other night.

My Christmas
Hey, Maggie the Cavachon here. I had the best Christmas ever! As for presents, I received mostly toys. Casey also gave me these chewy sticks called greenies. I love them and can finish one in ten minutes flat. Casey likes them because they clean my teeth and freshen my breath. However, my favorite part of Christmas morning was the wrapping paper. Casey even let me open a few of her gifts as well as mine. After ripping off the paper, I would play with it, wriggle in under it, and roll around in it.

I hope your Christmas was just as merry as mine!

My Winter Wonderland
Hey, it's Maggie the Cavachon. On Friday, it started to snow! It snowed six inches.
That was the most snow I'd ever seen in my life! I sank right into the snow.
Casey and I went sledding. Usually, whenever we get snow; a person can only walk
in it once or twice before it melts. But this time, Casey could sled over an area
again and again before in got mushy.
The snow lasted for days and days. On Saturday, I went to Peyton's house to play with her. We chased each other in the snow, and caught snowballs in our mouths. Casey would make a snowball and throw it up in the air. Sometimes, it would roll down a hill. Then, Peyton and I would chase the ball and pick it up in our mouths. But when it flew up in the air and landed in the snow, it would disapear and Peyton and I would have to go looking for it.
Sunday, the snow sort of hardened on the top layer. Whenever Casey took me outside, my toenails skidded on the ice and I went slipping and sliding.
I had so much fun in the snow! I'll be sure to do a Christmas blog.
